Default Transmission Filter and Fluid Capacity?

I changed my 03 Disco trans fluid and filter. I measured the amount drained to 6 quarts. I have only been able to put back 4 quarts. I drove it a couple miles, shifted through gears, and parked on an incline to try to get more fluid in. I'm using a transfer pump and after 4 times I can seem to get a very small amount in each time. Any tricks or ideas?

you need to have the truck running while adding the transmission fluid... thats the only thing I can come up with at the moment

Just to make that a little clearer, the tranny has to be topped of after your first fill it so start the engine, shift drive to reverse, then back into park, leave the engine running at top off the extra fluid needed.
Also, only check the fluid level with the engine running.
