Default Transmission Selector Cable Alternatives?

Cable UCV100590. Mine broke at the transmission end. Finding a replacement cable has been difficult and/or expensive. Is there an alternative cable (non-LR possibly) that would work?

Have you checked with Abran or with Paul Grant? Both are well known and well respected on this forum and are usually parting out one or two trucks or more.

Ebay, salavage yards, Abran, Will, or Paul should fix you up no problem!

I checked the local salvage. No luck. Being in Canada is not as easy for parts.

How do I get in touch with Abran or Paul? Do they ship to Canada?

Thanks!

@discosteve-MMI you can send them a private message inside the forums here or try tagging them in a post just the @ then the user name. But there are a few used ones on Ebay about 60 to 70 buck US with shipping included shifter and cable

Yeah, just do a forum search for them. Abran and Paul Grant are their exact usernames. Then just PM them.

I decided to go the eBay route and buy one with the shifter. I don’t need the shifter which comes with it, just the cable, but it was convenient in any case.

I was hoping a non-LR cable might be an option — As in another make/model with a similar ZF transmission might use the same cable?

@discosteve-MMI the problem is they need to be pretty much the same length so you are kinda of stuck with LR products
