Default Transmission settings changed with Nanocom?

Transmission shifting at 40 MPH instead of 30 MPH... Pulled over on side of road. Reset adaptive values in transmission using Nanocom. Vehicle is normal now.

Vehicle felt beefier with more power - but I didn't like it. I drive in "D" only. Never use sport mode. Rarely use D3, D2, D2, D1 and the Hi-Low Gear locks.Want Tranny to live forever.

Not sure if he was making my Rover more powerful ..or why this would happen. Any help why this would happen is appreciated.

P.S. I'm in Eastern Europe getting hosed for cash by everyone .. prices are 2,3,4,5,10x for me because I have an American passport. I can't escape it. Been here years and they think I'm a Tourist with "S" on my head.

I’m reading a few of the posts you’ve made now and am getting the picture. So where did you get the vehicle? Where are you based? Too bad you didn’t post sooner as I’m in Germany and know a bunch of stuff about these machines, but am leaving very soon.

Answering your question re: the tranny. I’m assuming you’ve done a service to include a new filter and such? You mentioned in one of your other threads this change occurred after a bag was replaced. If you reset the values I’d drive it a bit and see what happens assuming no other codes. And assuming the tranny is in good shape, maybe fuel is a bit wonky?

Wow. Easy there smart guy. Sorry I tried to offer some input on now 2 separate threads. Good luck in your whopping 22 posts of brilliance. I’d suggest a bit more positive approach if you are hoping to get help.
