Transmission shift point question
The ECU for the tranny has what is call adaptive memory, which may be off a little. Twice over the last 4 years, I have had mine reset and the tranny goes right back to shifting like a new one. Now I am not saying this is the case with yours, but a possibility.
Thanks to all for your replies!
oilsptLR - Wow, your shift points are a lot higher than mine going into 3rd and then 4th.
Drowssap - I will run it in sport mode on my way home this afternoon and note any changes in the shift points.
DiscoMike - How does the transmissions "brain" get reset? Is this a dealer item or would disconnecting the battery for a period of time cause the system to "re-learn" its shift points?
It seems like this may be a normal occurance for the Disco transmission but it has definately changed the "feel" of how my truck shifts and I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't something major going on.
Thanks again to everyone!
