ok... bad news...

I finish the trany filter and oil change... and take it for a 10 min trip... and the light goes on again....

next step... clean the radiator panels.. coolant and oil ones....and see if it corrects something...

by the way..any one knows the value of the oil temp sensor? in ohms, when is cold....or any way to check it.. with ohmeter or voltimeter?

thanks...

See pix of tranny switch - unplug - repeat test drive - if light comes on it is the transfer case temp sensor. Either tranny or transfer case can make a over heat oil light come on. Both are a switch, so either a short or an open on the ohm meter or test light. You have checked transfer case oil for filled up?

Hi, again... just for comment that I already unplug the front sensor when the light is on, and the light goes off... so this is the one that is sending the order...and for the transfer case oil...I check it and it is to top... it is clean in good shape... no need to change it...I think so...
What else I can check????

thanks a lot for your advices and comments... pending...

It is common for the trans temp sensor to go bad on DII's.

Atlantic British lists it:

Sender Oil Cooler Temperature Transmission (Genuine Part # UBI100030) - Land Rover switches/control unit/actuators from Atlantic British

Hope that fixes it!

Hi, to all....
Ok... Here is the final update for this thread....
---- Clean the radiator fins.... don't work... looks great complete cleaned but the lights goes on again...
---- Change the sensor .... WORKS..... finally the problem was the trans, temp sensor...
After the change... I take a long fishing trip, about 1 hour of normal road, then 2 hours of offroad road, beach and loose sand.... and the lights does not turns on again....

Thanks, for all your advice and comments... see you around...
