Default Transmission Temp. & Service Engine

Since I've bought my Disco II, it's had the transmission temperature warning light on it. Both the transmission fluid and transfer case fluids were low, which I filled up, but the light still illuminates inevitably after 10-15 of driving. I've noticed no pattern in how I drive of whether it's city or highway. It always comes on. I assume perhaps it's a sensor? The transmission is performing fine to the naked eye. Please advise.

I also just received a service engine soon light. My mechanic said it was throwing a code about the mass airflow sensor, but that that could have something to do with the transmission issue as well. Any thoughts? Thanks so much!
