Thumbs down transmission/transfercase problem

I had my transfer case swaped out the other day. yesterday i start hearing a rolling noise at the traffic light. I put in neutral and it stops. i put back in drive and starts again. This morning i get the same noise and now can here while driving. Could transmission guy have screwed up installing transfercase? i called him and said it's not his problem. I just got thrown under the bus.. I now have new driveway decoration...

You need to have some one inspect this before it is driven too much. What year is your truck, what did the t/case come out of and how many miles are on it? Was the fluid changed in the t/case prior to installing, if so what weight oil? If it is a D2, has your front drive shaft been rebuilt?

Thumbs down a bunch of things..

I took it to land rover north dade. They actually looked at it for no charge and one of ther collision specialist from a outside company was there so they put up on the lift. They spent almost a couple of hours i give them coudos for that. It turns out that it must have been in accident.

1. Both Motor mounts broken causing ratteling noise and cataletic converter to touch frame. 1 is actually sheared in 2.

2. front and rear bumbers not aligned. Some frame damage

3. 4 body panels have been repainted one not aligned very well

4. windshield not set correctly so it leaks air

5. Front left rim bent

6. Cataletic converter touching frame causing excessive noise in cabin

7. drivers door catch out of position

8. rear passenger door not aligned

9. Y pipe and silencer not ligning up caused by motor mounts

10. need to fix motor mounts to tarck down and fix exhaust leak..

11. other items but i am to tired to list....

What a idiot i was....Im changing my name to dumbass....

It seems as the the previous owner smashed the truck and never reported it to insurance and the guy i bought it from was either a ******* or a real stupid *** not to run a report..

Exclamation motor mounts

Well, going to pickup motor mounts this morning. Will see if it straightens out exaust Y pipe connection and move cat over off frame. Any advice would be great. Looks pretty strait forward. Just need to clarify the jack point. Its right under the sump? i assume it does not mean oil pan... And yes, i do have a 12 pack....

Thanks Chris

Sounds like a money pit to me? Did you take a seeing eye dog when you bought it? Or did you get it on E-Bay or Craig's List. Good Luck.
