That’s nothing for a disco. You can put 3 engines and 3 trannys in there

Always safer to ask the engine/Trans is a good 1.5 hours away in traffic

Shouldn't be a problem.

I like to use a hitch haul for that duty.

I'm not sure how much an engine and transmission weigh compared to a person, but you probably wouldn't worry too much about having a couple of passengers.

If engine and trans are still assembled, the only issue might be, overall length. Even with the seat folded down, she'll be tight. Me, l'd cut a piece of plywood for the back, to avoid damage to carpet and gather up some old blankets to lay underneath. It seems like, no matter how empty you think the engine is of fluids...some always appear...once it tips on a slightly different angle.

Default Sure

I had a Mercedes V8 Twin Turbo M278 in mine. A much heavier engine.

Thanks everyone the transmission and engine are separate so I am good to go. Not sure where it will live long term but it is in garage for a bit.

Well it is home and in the garage a little tricky getting it out but nothing taking your time in the pouring rain could not sort out It had a cooling issue so I will be tearing it down and parting out the stuff I do not need or want. Transmission sat nicely behind the front seats
