in the meantime where is the best place to pick up chains that will fit my 275/70-18's ? or do i even need them?

hit up any of the local tire shops. if they dont have em they can get em

My wife is coming along too, she might be more excited than I am Judging by some pictures I saw of that area from last weekend, there appears to be a good amount of snow/ice in the higher elevations, so it could be an interesting run. I don't have CDL, or chains to fit my new tires, so it should be a good test for the new tires + traction control, which so far, has gotten me everywhere I've wanted to go and back!
