I see nojunkmailplease is now banned. His posts bore a striking resemblance to those of our old buddy, DOH.

Yep I was leaving him alone until he lit this thread up with 6 more post in a row. After that old DOH/nojunkmailplease got the boot.

Just installed my black powdercoated version. Absolutely love it. A sig p365 fits in there just perfect.

As a sailor and kayaker, I often leave my Disco unattended for hours at a time in some remote places. How is this box holding up and on a scale of 1 to 10, how secure would you rate it? I would never leave my wallet or anything like that in it, but registration, insurance card, and related things that can be difficult to replace if lost or stolen.

I’d say mine is a solid 8.
2 bolts secure it down inside the cubby box and the dial lock is well constructed.
If I were the criminally minded type, I would have a noisy time either angle grinding the lock off or cutting the hinge to open it up.

Default Not completely in love...

I waited for the black version to become available; received and installed earlier this week. I will say that it fits perfectly, and looks almost OEM.

i do have one major complaint. The numbered tumblers for setting/entering the combination are chrome colored, with absolutely no contrast and very tiny numbers. I was very nervous about resetting the supplied combination as I was afraid I couldn’t see what I was inputing. And this was prior to installing, with the unit on my countertop. To date, I have not locked and spun the tumblers as it’ll be embarrassing to have to use a flashlight to see what I’m doing.

Bottom line - sturdy, good looks, but locking mechanism poorly designed.
