If Im not mistaken I have seen several instances where people posted that you CAN NOT Turn

Then I noticed this in the Rave Manual...

Just more bad info posted my many on a public forum.
I agree with you 100%, I see know reason why they cannot be machined as long as they are within specs.
Rotors are rotors are rotors. Big round steel things. Steel is steel.
I too have said not to turn LT rotors but I retract my previous statement, I never had any good reason to say it other then...me getting bad intel.
Lathe away my man!!

Rotors are not rotors. Let's look at our Disco's way to small rotors and pads, how do you think they get them to stop all our somewhat top heavy weight, soft dusty brake pads and even softer rotors, hoping that this will slow us down instead of just going to larger, thick, hard alloy rotors.
Your post from the Rave is just another one of their incorrect statement we see so often.
Our rotors are too soft for 1 rough cut and 1 finishing cut, much less there is not enough thickness on our rotors to be within specs.
They are cheap, go to Atlantic British and for $30ish you can buy some new ones of better yet buy some BRA rotors from DAP-Inc and you'll never need another set.
