Default Two Tone Hood and Roof

Has anyone successfully used the Lucky 8 Disco II Hood Blackout kit? My DII is Epsom Green and I'm considering doing a white roof (will use the proper LR White Paint Code for the roof if I can find it).

Was also considering using something like this Lucky8 product to make a two tone white and green hood/bonnet. Thoughts on aesthetic appeal?

Cheers!

I got my hood blackout from Crawlerado.

Easy as pie to put on.

Thanks zuke, I'll check it out. I' really looking to see if anyone has seen pictures of a DII with a two-toned hood as well as the white roof? Did some googling this morning with no joy!

Same here. Do good prep (clay bar and alcohol wipe down) and use plenty of fluid and it's a piece of cake.

You need a friend to help or at least it made my install much easier. They have an install video.

Also the white top sounds great. It would look like an old toyo FJ40. How about white Rhinoliner?

I've seen several D1/D2's for sale with white roofs. To me it looks extremely cheap. They're going for the Defender 110 look and I'm sorry a D1/D2 will never look like a Defender 110. It makes a D1/D2 look as if it's roof is missing. It just does't go with the body style IMHO, but to each their own on that.

I'm with you, that just looks odd. I guess if I was baking in the desert sun....maybe. But OP, if you like the look for your truck have at it!

A black roof on a lighter color might look good...but that does not.

Check out @connerclancy on instagram, he's got a white D2 with the blacked out hood. As for the white "Defender style" roof there is a guy who lives near me that had this done and it looks even worse in person. The pics above are a preview but let me just tell you: it don't look right.
