Default Uh oh.. Might be time for new headgaskets, few questions.

If its not always something eh?

Today while driving all of my blinkers came on at once and wouldn't go off. Shut off the truck they stayed on, went to start it and then went off.... LOL

Anyways Im getting a rough idle at startup which is exactly what I experienced with my 4runner when it had a bad headgasket at 200k. There aren't any other symptoms yet, Ill do a pressure test soon, BUT.. I have a question.

I understand its normal for coolant to spew if its hot when removing the radiator cap. But is it normal for it to spew from the reservoir?

There are no bubbles or anything, and it has always done this. [2 months] spews when removing the reservoir cap.

Yes, if you look at your resevoir cap, it is a radiator cap.

One of the vents is 15psi spring loaded, the other allows air to come back in during cooldown.

Understanding that coolant boils at higher temps under pressure, when you release at the cap, it boils out fast. (it may be 215-220)

luck,greg

Ah, I just never saw any other reservoir do this. Thanks

I have a green type of substance on the oil cap..
And feels like there is air in the top radiator hose when its cool.
