Default Ultra gage question

I have a couple of questions regarding the ultra gage

2- where do you guys buy it from ? I looked on amazon couldn't find anything
3 does it come with all the fitting required for hook up

Thanks

It does have an alarm setting, some users have posted about it. Amazon does not sell everything --- yet. I think all the cable comes with it. See UltraGauge Automotive Information Center and OBDII Scan Tool

It connects directly to your OBDC port under your dashboard under your steering wheel, just to the right of the steering wheel. Couldn't be easier.

The scan gauge uses the cars computer which keeps track of the temp. The issue with the dash temp gauge is that it is not set to move between too wide of a range of temp. You bypass that with the scan gauge which reads the temp sensed by the computer. It does not use a sending gauge like a traditional temp gauge does. It also reads and clears codes on your ECU. .

It will look like this - some also mount it on a suction pod. Gives you the same live data as a dealer technician plugged into the computer (OBDII) port. Also, because of the coolant flow, I would not consider an external mounted sensor to be as accurate as the sensor in the intake manifold and the coolant. There is only one sensor, in a D1 there are two, one for gauge and one for ECU. The raw data from the sensor is accurate. The processing by the engine computer dumbs it down and ignores long term slow roasting over hickory coals.

Oh ok I was thinking it was a sending unit ok so I went on their web site so the ultra gage reads quite a few things ? Can it also erase engine codes ? It says the price is 69. I paid over 120 for my simple obd2 which only reads codes
So if I buy this thing I have acces to all these diff temp readings like coolant tranny etc

Yes it clears codes and shuts the check engine light off. It also shows you pending codes which have not triggered the light yet. Very nice for preventative maintenance.

It can read, scan, and erase engine codes and data handled by the ECU. So coolant temp is there, oil pressure is not. That is an important point, as other things like tranny and ABS also have computers on the same bus, but you need a more advanced scanner like a Hawkeye or nanocom or such to talk to the other modules. The plus of the Ultra Gauge is price, size, and flexibility. I think it is on holiday sale for $61 after a small rebate. My $129 scanner also reads live data, but looks bad duct taped to the steering column.
