Ultra gauge or $50 tablet with Torque?
I have the Ultragauge. My favorite part is the gauge is small. Can be mounted anywhere easily. Always connected. I don't have to mess around with keeping a phone charged and connected. Plus no one knows what an Ultragauge is. If someone sees a phone mounted in your car. I'm pretty sure they'll break your door glass to get it. Even thou it's an old phone. I'd get the Ultragauge and buy a quality code reader like the iCarsoft I930 that reads ABS and all other codes. Good luck!

But on that iCarsoft I930, does it do ABS and full Rover faults? For $120, that kinda seems like a no brainer for code reading and then I'll just keep using my phone or iPad for instant monitoring.
The main thing I want is obviously coolant temp. I'd like oil pressure and temp, but I don't think those are available as regular PIDs.
Well doing some research on that code reader, wow! It really does the full monty. A number of Disco owners commented on Amazon how it sorts ABS and SRS issues.
I think the slam dunk for it will be if it can read codes from my wife's L320 RRS SC. That would be huge as it just went out of warranty.

Along with the BT UltraGauge, I've also got iCarsoft's CR Plus which can be used on a multitude of car brands. Bought for about $250 and it's well worth the price.
I use it to read and clear codes on my Disco 2, my wife's BMW X5, my father-in-law's Cadillac CTS and my monster-in-law's Audi A6.

I had an ABS sensor go bad. The I930 read the 2 ABS codes and cleared them. Plus it will clear and read OBD2 codes. The ABS also sends an error to the OBD2 as another code. I cleared all 3 codes with the I930. It's like 2 readers in 1.
I think it'll even show you some running live data. I haven't tried it.
