just installed the ultra gauge and it was very simple. Really plug and play, the real PITA is setting it up and I had to take the laptop out to the Disco. The only real problem that i have found is that to scroll through or read the menus is via 3 small buttons on the back of the gauge. As i mounted mine to the bottom right of the windscreen the wire was "tucked" besides the dash and the A pillar and then through the fuse panel and in to the OBD 2 port. This way all the spare wire is out of the way.
Instilation time was 5 minutes BUT set up time took me 1 1/2 hours.

I'm going to get a different mount with a shorter shaft and put it in the same corner as you, thats one of the nice things about this unit is it takes a standard window mount that can be bought for $10 at Wal-Mart.
