update on hesitation and backfiring 96
Hello all,
I wanted to update everyone on my findings with my 96 lr disco 1, se7. I complained about mild hesitation, and after about 1000 miles leading to very serious hesitation with backfires/misfires. I disconnected the vss and no more hesitations or backfires. I can still feel occasional rough running/idling, but not enough to be annoying or to keep me from enjoying my landrover.
I had even # codes which made me believe that the vss probably wasn't to blame, but it was. I had codes 304, 306, 308, 300, and 1316 and 1314.
I also wanted to share a funny electrical gremlin. My lighter quit working, and it turned out to be a fuse, but also that fuse made my passenger power seat work again. It also made my drivers seat adjust without having to open the door. Fun times!!!
