Default Upper Hose T Connector Bleed Screw Broke

After doing 3 full flushes I finally got rid of the dex col, bled the system via the rave and it worked a treat. NOW HERE'S the rub filled with 50/50 anti freeze and water weter and all going good BUT when i came to tighten the bleed screw then the thing poped a leak. I'm away from home enjoying the sun in Florida so I ring 2 land rover stealerships in Florida both about 1 1/2 drive so not local to see if they could over night it to me. One wanted $10.88 and the other one wanted $17.38!!! WTF I thought so i rang PTschram, after a very helpful call he sugugested i ring BMW. So ringing BMW they knew exactly what part I was looking for and it only costs [B]$7[B] they have it in stock and its down the road (ish). Thank you Paul

Land rover would have sold you the wrong part anyway. I've got one in my possession. They only have the bleed screw for the old style hose, unless they are getting them from BMW and reselling them.

Note to all, go by a BMW and pick up a couple of the bleeder screws, put them in the one of the little coin drawers on either side of the radio/temp controls. Nothing will screw you up more than a broken bleeder screw after doing work on your rover. Last time I bought one, actually two, the BMW dealer charged me about $4 each. I promise that it will give you peace of mind. Good luck. Phil

reading from the parts invoice part number: 17-11-1-712-788 Description: Vent Screw.

Apparently Land Rover ARE buying them from BMW which is why they have the mark up but does not answer why 2 stealerships in Florida want to charge different amounts
