I just brought my 2001 disco to my local landrover dealer because my ABS, Traction Control, And downhill decent control light went on. They all went on at the exact same time 5 weeks ago. I got a call this morning and they said i had erratic ABS sensors on the front left and rear right wheels. The cost to replace them was $1,576. How could this possibily be right, or am i discovering the world to owning a discovery. What should my next move be?I'm leaving back for school onSunday,is mycar drivable? Thanks for any help

yea i just did that, seems like this is a pretty common problem. To clarify, should i just tell the dealer to reset the codes and then hope the lights dont turn back on? If they do, am i going to have trouble seeing as im going back to school for 3 weeksin Ithaca NY where theres lots of ice and snow. Is it going to be dangerous? Thanks for your help. In addition, the other forums kept asking about brakes squeeling and yes, my brakes started squeeling about the time the lights came on

Squeal+worn hub=amigos, if you swap in something like EBC greens and the squeal goes away you should be able to get more out of the hubs as long as they're not obviously worn to the point of needing replacement. If the light came on and stayed on, that might be different though, when mine came on due to worn hubs it would reset when I restarted. Check all the wires for nicks or cuts or corrosion at the connectors.
