Bleed some more. On a D2 the coolant is always circulating in the heater core, if you have enough coolant to begin with.

Which bleed? RAVE bleed? 1,500RPM open tank bleed? Both?
When I come out of work today the truck should be stone cold.

there is no such thing as a "1500rpm bleed".

Bleed it when it is cold, raise the recovery bottle, (not so high as to kink the bottom hose.)
Pull out the screw and fill the raised recovery tank.
Leave the screw out for little while do not close it as soon as coolant comes out, let the coolant run for a minute, then close the screw.
top off the coolant recovery tank the next couple of mornings when cold and you should be alright.

For the RAVE, two links in my signature, one has the major files already broken up into pdf and you can download what you want for your truck.

and X2 on bleed for more than the first squirt. All the bubbles may not be right together in one spot.

I just downloaded the D2 shop manual (about 35 mb) from the second link and it works fine, over 1500 pages of pdf fun.
