Default Using break cleaner

I am going to be replacing my brake pads tomorrow and I got a can of brakleen brake cleaner to spray everything down. What I wanted to know is if this stuff is safe to use on the abs sensors. I dont want to go spraying around everything and possibly mess something up. Thanks for the help

Do your self a favor, only using this after you have installed your new pads and bled the brakes. Only you it on surfaces where you have spilled brake fluid.
Make sure to have a least 1 quart of brake fluid to flush the brakes when you are done, and use sound deadening spray to keep the squeaks down.

Quick question is there some sort of step by step instructions on how to bleed the brakes, and what are the benefits for doing it?

The benefits of bleeding is to:
1) Replce brake fluid and purge out any moisture that may have gotten into the system (Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it attracts moisture). A normal course of service work, and good preventative maintenance includes periodically replacing the brake fluid about every 30k mi.

2) Purge out any air that may have gotten into the brake system, or more likely, wasn't completely bled out from previous service work. Air is compressable, fluid is not. Therefore it could firm up your pedal and improve braking if there was any air in the system.

Make sure when you bleed your brakes, you keep checking the resivour and add fluid before it runs dry.
