Default Valley pan gasket leak on 2002 Disco2

I just replaced the valley pan gasket and the leak went away for 3 days until it began leaking again but not as bad as it was. I'm a do-it-yourselfer and thought I could save some money by using the Rave manual as a guide. I cleaned the old off, applied what seemed like plenty of gasket sealant so i'm not sure where I went wrong. I'm about to pull the intake back off and redo the job but wondering if anyone has extra advice. That gasket is a stupid design IMO but can't stand for it to leak coolant.

Don't worry about trying to video your work. Are you sure it is the valley pan and not the head gasket, how did you check to make sure? When reinstalling, did you use the proper bolt sequence and torque specs?

i could tell it was leaking from the back passenger corner of the valley pan gasket and it was running down the bell housing on the passenger side. Plus, it didn't leak one drop for 3 days after I finished the job. And I followed the RAVE manual on the bolt tightening sequence and torque. Maybe I didn't apply the gasket sealant correctly.
