How long did it take to complete the valve covers?

 

The first one took me the longest because I had never taken a Rover apart before. Once I had the first one down, the second one was really quick. It took me all day, but I took my time, cleaned out my upper-intake, cleaned the valve-covers, etc etc. If you don't bother cleaning anything, it would probably take you just a couple of hours. That SAI is what always gets in my way, if you don't have SAI, it should be a piece of cake!

Make sure that you order a new upper-intake gasket.

 

So, why are you asking this instead of doing what has been suggested?

Just wondering how long. I just did the plugs, and my heater core yesterday, and am going to do the wires, VC gaskets, clean the TB, etc., and just wanted to know how much time to dedicate...
