Default 1996 Discovery Is it difficult to replace valve cover gaskets?

Hello all,

Whenever I drive around for a while, I begin to smell burning oil odor coming from my heat vents. I just changed the oil and it looks like the engine might have many leaks, apparently they leak from all over the place.

I thought I might start with changing the valve cover gaskets, since I do notice some spots on the exhaust manifold. Hopefully that will improve the interior air quality??

Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated. I am looking for a DIY writeup if anyone knows of any.

Thank you.

Just tighten them.
Get a 12 point 8mm 1/4 drive socket and snug the valve cover bolts, they will stop leaking.
