Vehicle cuts out while driving. Not getting fuel possibly?
I own a 2002 Land Rover discovery TD5 S2. It cuts out intermittently while I’m driving. Sometimes it will not start immediately and I have to crank it over for some time to get it to fire up. The vehicle has always been maintained in good condition and serviced as required by the manufacturer’s recommendations. I have recently had the vehicle tested by my mechanic.
The vehicle has been scanned and no faults logged. The injector electrical harness along with the coils and spark plugs have been checked and they are not faulty.
The turbo hoses have been checked and they are not faulty. A new diesel pump and fuel filter has been renewed. When all this was reassembled vehicle was tested and started immediately. I have had several months of good driving but, subsequently, the vehicle has continued to cut out intermittently while driving. It always fires up if I grind it away long-enough.
Any help appreciated please.
