Default Very bad day

The other day I was driving to work and a slight grinding noise started coming from the back of the truck, so last night I pulled the wheels and looked at the brakes, spread apart the calipers and looked like I had calipers that would not release.
So today I ordered new calipers from www.autosportsunlimited.com, $75 each plus a $55 (ea) core charge.
While in their parking lot I went to leave with my van and I turn the steering wheel and BANG!!, no steering, I can turn the steering wheel full left and right but the wheels dont move.
Call and another van is on the way but I still have to sit and wait before I can finish my route.
On my way home the rear end starts to grab, I am driving as slow as I can as the rear end is getting noiser and noiser, only a half mile to go.
Figured I would need new rotors too.
Pulled the rear calipers off the truck (so that i would not have to pay the core charge), they look good, brake pads were good, rotors were good.
Drain the rear diff, all good.
Spin the hub, drivers side wheel bearing is shot.
So I just orderd 2 wheel bearing rebuild kits from www.atlanticbritish.com.
They will be in next week.
Now here is the part that REALLY sucks...I was only $120 away from my new computer, now I am $210 away.
I am not meant to have a new computer and it is really pissing me off!

I never get so lucky.
My kind of luck is stepping in dog crap with my old shoes not my good ones.

Oh, and I didnt include the best part, a knock down drag out fight on the phone with my ex-wife over our sons graduation.

I think that qualifies as a bad day. But always remember it could be worse.

I had to make 2 trips to Sears to get the correct sized socket to remove the calipers, 1/2" 12 point, at first I bought a 9/16", the girl at the counter was really cute though so not a total loss.

Keep your chin up Spike.

You should do like I did: Find a cheap, used, working computer on craigslist, and put all the goodies you want in it.

All together, I've only put $80 into this computer.

Good luck with the wheel bearing,

Aaron

PS - I was scared to death you were going to tell us you wrecked the Rover!

keep your eyes open, something good is bound to come your way after being slammed so hard.
