Default Very high milage Bosch Disco

Has anyone seen a higher milage original engine 03/04 discovery? I've maintained this truck for the last 120k, my grandfather maintained from new to me. Only notable repairs/modifications in my ownership were; inline thermostat, XYZ switch rebuild, sunroof regulator replacement, front driveshaft replacement, rear driveshaft rebuild, sls delete, ace system removal, and the usual ball joints, bushings, and other wearable suspension items.

Not an 03-04, but one of my 00's has 258 on it, the other 225.

my Bosch 4.6 P38 (same enginge as an '03 Discovery) has 201,000 miles.

my Bosch 4.6 '04 Discovery has 191,000. though, it also has a newer Crower cam and new lifters and tappets.

My '01 has 239k, not far off! Surprisingly enough not even an oil leak.

You can tell it's a bit tired, but still runs smooth.

Mine 02 if finally due for some HG's this year. Noticed a small seep on cold startup on the back of the engine by the starter. Should be a quick HG swap n be good to go! Besides that very very reliable and runs excellent.

I gotta say that's pretty incredible, I hope to be able to keep the truck going for another 150k on this motor but the odds definitely aren't in my favor. Whenever it does finally go I'm going to be throwing an LS in among various other upgrades.

I'm considering doing a teardown and rebuild whenever I have the extra money (Army doesn't pay that much). I have the disco tick and am pretty certain it's a liner so that'll be a good time toss in some set screws or top hats.
