Does the shop have a Hunter Engineering force balancer? (GSP 9700) I was a service rep for 17 years. In the hands of a skilled operator, that piece of equipment can work miracles. There is essentially no such thing as a tire "out of round" if a man knows what he is doing with the 9700.

 

I don't know exactly what they were using, but it certainly wasn't anything very advanced. I only took a brief glance at it. It looked well-used.
