Default Vibration when accelerating

My disco II is vibrating when accelerating from a dead stop. It seems to go away at a cruising speed. Propeller shaft, u joints,?? It almost feels like something is out of balance. Any ideas?

Could be just a simple tire balance and alignment needed?

Have you rebuilt your front drive shaft?

STOP!!!!! driving it till you do a couple of things.
How many miles on the truck, what sort of shape are the tires in, hear any bird chirping from under the truck when you start to roll?
If you have never had the from drive shaft rebuilt or replaced, it is time to do it, NOW, not when you get around to it or when it fails, and it will, you will loose your tranny also.
Want some help with this, send me your tele number and I will call you back.

The truck has 130000 miles on it, I am the second owner, and far as I know it has never been rebuilt. The tires most definitely need to be replaced, I am going to do this next week,.. money to use then.! There is no chirping sound though. It has gotten worse over the last month, I guess I am tempting fate driving it, I will stop now. My cell number is 601-832-3034. Jim A.

If the tires are **** it needs balancing and alignment. Don't balance crap tires, like you said get new ones and have those balanced. Have an alignment done also, it's cheap. That will make a world of difference.

Replace the shaft's u-joints soon also, like the others are saying. You can inspect the shaft and see if the u-joints are lose or binding. If they are, don't drive it at high speeds...hehe get them replaced with greasables. About 200 bucks parts and labor
