I will be about to do the conversion from Rotoflex to a u-joint and while doing my research on how to remove I ran across this video from Paddock Spares. Granted it shows you with the axle removed from the Disco, but it gives you a great idea how it is accomplished. Also it shows you how without any special LR Tools.

 

Try this method to remove the pinion, it worked for me. It is a traditional 3 arm puller you can rent for free with deposit from most autoparts stores.

 

Nice Tip. Might be a lot easier.
