Default Voltage

what is everyone's voltage say at your ultra guage ?

If i I remember correctly on my previous 2004 I used to get stupid codes here and there related to bad o2 sensors etc
i remember someone telling me if your voltage out of your alternator was low it causes these things and I replaced it i believe my voltage was always abound 14 volts
on my new 2003 I get mostly 13.2 to 13.7 volts and I'm getting a p 050 code which is upstream passenger side 02 sensor.

What are your voltsges ??

Circa 13.5 volts is the norm for the alternator output, anything over 14V means there is a problem with the alternator or below 13V means your alternator is failing or the battery is failing.

12.9-14.1v is the normal range I’d say anything below or above = you’ve got a problem.

Each cell, should have 2.2v at optimal conditions. There are 6 cells in a 12v battery. 13.2v is optimum for a lead acid battery with no charge, ~14v is what you should have at idle out of your alternator, some where just above 14v at 2500 RPM.

14v does not mean your alternator is bad, it means its actually quite good. Once you get above 14.7v, there might be a problem. That also depends on the RPM and the load on the alternator.

14 volts here, 13 before I replaced the crusty ground cables.
