Default Wanted to share my story

Well you probably don't know but I bought my Disco a month ago because I love off roading and I saw some camel trophy videos and was inspired. So I bought my Rover, did a lift kit, added some rock sliders and was having a fun day out in Coyote Canyon in Southern California when me and a Wrangler ran into each other coming around a blind corner (if you want to see the video of the collision - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08mhr79Igbo)

Anyhow, the grille shattered, I lost a head light and the bumper was smashed and part of the frame was crunched behind the aluminum spacer. This will all be fixed but the part that really pissed me off was that a motor mount in my seat broke and the seat flopped back and forth and it was rather annoying. When I pulled it apart I found this -

Yes this thing was holding my seat motor to the chair. I was flabbergasted. I called the previous owner with a fit of rage not because it broke and someone fixed it, but because someone considered this ok. Well anyhow I rebuild a little mount for it -

and my rover is almost back in business.

Thanks for reading my lovely story,

Cheers!

Accidents suck, but that's a pretty epic video......but good news is now both you and that Jeep each get a winch bumper right?

Glad everyone was ok!

HOLY $***.... LOL... Were you running the BAJA 500 or something? How fast were you going? The old man in the Jeep gets out and slams the door like he wants to fight. LOL... Who has the right of way on a 1 way dirt path? I would say the Rover doing 90mph!!!
