Question Wanting to change bulbs behind speedometer

Hi everyone. Long time lurker here.

I've been having a hard time finding information on this. So please forgive me in advance if I am posting in the wrong place or If this has been covered over and over. I have a 2004 Discovery 2.

I'm wanting to change my bulbs behind my dash/speedo cluster. They are just the factory green ATM. Very dim now and having a hard time seeing at night. I found a few people that have upgraded them to LEDS. After successfully removing my headliner and restoring it and reinstalling it successfully without any issues I feel like I could do this.

SO. I'm having a hard time finding a guide to help me get a good idea of removing whatever i need to in order to get behind the speedo. If anyone has a good guide I would really appreciate it. Also I'm wondering about which bulb to use. Someone said to just use a 501 blue led but I'm not even sure how they fit in there to be certain what to get. So any help with which type of bulb to get would be greatly appreciated as well.

I'm also thinking about changing the bulbs behind the clock, temp screen and temp buttons to blue led. so a guide and bulb advice there also would appreciated.

Link to the bulbs I was looking at and very confused about how they fit.

Thank You.

Edit - I should have titled this interior light replacement..... Another question, about the dome lights. Are there any good replacements out there?

Edit 2- Okay So it was really easy to remove the speedometer panel it was only 6 screws and a two clips(?) on the rear. There are three main bulbs and they are T10's.

You need to pull the cowling over the instrument panel, then there are four screws that hold on the panel itself. The bulbs have a fitting that unscrews(like half turn) then pulls out, Remember these led bulbs will only work when polarity is correct, that is put one in and turn on lights and see if it is on, if not, reverse the bulb. I recommend doing this while the panel is still hooked up to the harness, otherwise you may find that you will have to pull back out to change any bulbs that are in reverse.
Also, those bulbs that you referenced shine straight forward and not to the side also(which you want for the speedo/tach lights, they would be fine for the blinker lights on the dash. I made that mistake and the dash was much dimmer than stock lights. since then i changed to the led's that have have 180 degree lighting. Like these, which also can be used for tail light, side blinker light(on front fenders).

Check this site out and it will give you the numbers for all the lights on the vehicle

I have replaced almost all my lights with LED lights, and got them all off amazon. Just remember if you replace the turn signal lights, you will need the ones than are CAN-BUS (which are more expensive) or wire in the resistors(this is what I did so replacing the leds in the future will not be as expensive.

I don't see how the lights would be more dim now than in the past unless the panel illumination dial under the binnacle switches on the left of the instrument panel got turned or bumped. In my experience incandescent lamps don't dim with age. They're either on or off unless the voltage is changed.

I used some Sylvania ZEVO 6K 194 bulbs in my gauge cluster and re-used the green bulb color sleeves. The rest of the LED's for the Odometer & HVAC you'll find at VLED's.com
