Water Shedder
So it would appear that after a loud clunk, and no more window movement, the window regulator on the passenger side front door has died. In the process of attempting, without success, to get the window the last quarter of an inch up to get it completely closed, I encountered the "Carefully release water shedder from door" step. I am assuming that by water shedder they are referring to the thick plastic sheet that covers the interior of the door.
If that is indeed the case, how does one carefully remove it? Mine is edge glued with something that NASA would love to get ahold of for shuttle tiles. Further, the female slots for the clips hold the thing on, as do the bumpouts for the door trim handle screws. So, what am I missing?
Also, is there any way to get the window up that last quarter of an inch or so? The motor is completely buggered so it won't move. Further, it is up too high to access the bolts which secure the glass to the regulator.
Thanks,
