Default Weather tech floor mats for D2 ????

Ok, so my first astonishment regarding owning a D2. Weathertech does NOT make their custom laser
measured floor mats for the D2????? I was stupefied. When I called them, they said there was not enough demand for that vehicle for them to make them. That’s crazy. An international vehicle with the off-road capabilities is the perfect match for a perfect fit rubber weather tech floor mat system. Does anyone know of anyone else that makes a similar product for the D2. I have the factory Land Rover carpet and rubber mats but I really like the fit and protection of the weather tech.

I don’t know who else does besides finding a set on eBay.

I havent had had good luck with any of the weather tech mats. I bought some for my suburban a few years ago. They lost their form and curled up, so much so that I had to remove the driver side one because it was interfering g with the pedals. The cargo cover was a joke and would t stay in place either. Maybe you had good luck but I didn’t.

The rear Land Rover cargo mat is fantastic and I will not be replacing it. I have had good luck with the weather tech mats in our other rovers and my truck.

One of the reasons I assumed they don’t make them for us is that most cars the floor pan is lower so the mats can have raised edges on all sides so water doesn’t escape the mats. With our cars the floor runs level with the door. So having the raised sides would be a pain getting in and out. I put off-road wrangler mats in mine it has raised sides and is agressive but doesn’t fit perfectly.

Huh, I wonder how cutting a chair mat from an office supply store would work, I might try that my mats are trashed too.

Has anyone here tried the Husky heavy-duty floor mats?

Those look pretty nice, I bought a set of universal ones from Costco a while back and cut them to fit. They do alright but always end up crooked but it's better than totally trashing the carpet.

I also have the Costco mats (I think Michelin) in both the D2 and P38. Probably not perfect but they do the trick for me.

I have the OE Land Rover rubber mats and they work and fit great. You can still get them online.
