Default Weird Idling at start up.

Hey guys, Ive been slowly realizing that every time i start up my disco 1, It barely idles for like 5 seconds, And then catches it self and goes up to around 750-1000RPMS.

Ive had my idle adjusted, and i have a new battery.

What grade of gas are you using?
Have you cleaned your throttle body?

And after cleaning the t/body and the IAC, if it is still off, then go have a mechanic who knows how to reset the idle properly, it is probably not set correctly.

Ive been using the middle gas... Not regular and not premium... Could this be the cause? Maybe try cleaning the idle stepper motor.

i know its been probably adjusted, Jeff at JC rovers did it so im sure it was done correctly.

Until you switch over to the REQUIRED grade of gas we cant do anything for you.

You are NOT saving any money but using mid grade, as you are finding out the truck wont run right, and you are getting less MPG and you are only saving $2 per fill up.
But with the reduced MPG it is costing you more money every time you get gas because you are using more of it.

What is now mid grade used to be regular when your truck was built. You have to run the highest octane you can find.
When did you last change your fuel filter, do it? If after a tank or so and it is still doing this, then I would suggest you check your fuel pressure before and after you do a cold start, pump may be allowing pressure to bleed back into the tank over night. The other area to check will be the IAC and it's seat for carbon.
