Default Weird Noise?!

Lately it has been 10 degrees out and since then I have noticed a weird noise when I go over a speed bump or something equally elevated. I had my boyfriend drive to see if I was just being paranoid and he thought it was totally fine. If I drive super slow it doesnt happen but it just seems extra creaky.

I just had my 04 LR Discovery's oiled changed. When my car was finished the secretary notified me of the HDC light beind illuminated. She said it isnt good to drive it far like that. This light has never been lit other than when I start the car. I asked over and over what the heck it meant, what was going to happen if I drove it, and WHAT IT MEANT?! I realized she had NO IDEA when she kept uttering words like transmission, traction control, I THINK she said transfer case. We went out to my car and the light wasnt illuminated anymore just like it hadnt before. She THEN said opposite what she originally said and that its fine, its probably fine, she sounded really unconfident.

The light has not gone back on and Im told not to worry. But im still worried becuase im wondering if this creaky noise and the light have any relationship and has anyone experienced this creaky noise during winter while going over speed bumps?

WHAT IS GOING ON????

Where did you have the oil changed?
The H ill D ecent C ontrol is to control your speed while driving off road and going down a steep hill.

Your noise and the HDC are not related.

You might have a loose shock mount, ice or snow built up under the truck that is rattling, it could be anything.
Take it to a suspension shop and have them do a free inspection.

And just a FYI, you can drive with the HDC light on until you drive off the end of the earth.

I had the oil changed at the dealership. I wonder if I should call and talk to a service person directly and not the secretary. I had already been there 2 hours and couldnt stay any longer otherwise I would have inquired further...

I would not waste my time worrying about it.
As long as the light is off then dont worry about it.
Now if the "3 amigos" pops up then you have a problem.
Do a search on this forum for them and educate yourself for next time the stealer tries to rake you over the coals.

You will need to get the suspension looked at to see what the noise is.
