Easy Spike, think long range - I highly enjoy .308. It is always good for a half a mile or so. Close enough to see their reaction, far enough not to get dirty!

 

I took it to the dealer the 4th day I owned it, and had them do the complete workup, guys, so I'm only a partial loser. :-)

 

Baylink there are no losers on here. We are all here to learn and help others learn, we share the knowledge and help others gain the passion for these trucks. A little ribbing doesn't hurt too much.

These guys are angels, and helpful, jump over to Disco Web if you want to be chewed up for most any comment or action, newbies especially. Been there, done that, back where you can get real help without having your access denied for a week because you posted some event information in the Discovery section rather than the even category. Gotta love the welcome wagon they have over there. Never again, I can get beat up and insulted by my 20-something know-it-all kids at home, do not need it on the Rover forum.

 

I'm banned from dbweb for life it seems and proud of it. That is the biggest gathering of asshats on the interweb. And the "advice" they give is terrible.

 

You have to admit that DWeb's tech section is pretty good.
But the rest of it can go to hell in a hand basket.

 

Man... I hate checking fluids. We are waiting to have kids until I can afford a live in nanny- perhaps I should have waited to buy a Rover until I can buy a full time mechanic?

I don't want to be a mechanic. I am only 23, but I have worked on FAR too many junk vehicles in my life, I don't even want to open a hood. I see bent push rods in my dreams, and I smell burned coolant, I feel griddy hands....

In fact, I think I might LEASE my next set of Rovers... ... that is, assuming they come out with a model half as good as the Disco.
