My daughter felt something hot on her foot in our LR (she said it felt hot). She was sitting on the passenger side. I removed the floor mat on that side to find wet carpet. It does not appear to have an oily feel or smell indicating engine coolant. I assume coolant runs through the heater core on a LR? What are other possible causes? With other cars I have had leaking heater cores and a stopped up air conditioner drain line.

 

Well if the A/C drain hoses are clogged and that water is close to something hot, like the exhaust, then when it dropped onto her bare foot it would feel hot.

Crawl under the truck and there are two "nipples" on either side of the bell housing, clean them out and you should be good to go.

 

Have you been running the A/C a lot?

 

Been in the mid 90s here this week. Wife ran A/C a lot yesterday. I noticed last night there is moisture on both sides. I will check the drain hoses as soon as possible.

+1 clean out your A/C drain nipples there are one one each side up near where the driver and passenger's feet go. Same thing happened to me, I thought something was wrong but it was a simple fix.
