Default Wet and Wild at Tahuya

I visited a nearby ORV park (well, technically a state forest) on Friday to get the D2 off pavement and to play around with my camera. It's been raining pretty consistently here in Western WA so there was a LOT of standing water around. Towards the end I committed a cardinal sin of off roading and drove through some water of unknown depth and I must have been up to at least the bottom of the headlights at the deepest point- I seriously thought I was going to drown the poor truck. I had to stop afterwards to do a quick check and give my heart a moment to slow down. Nothing seems to be the worse for wear and it made the 45 minute drive home just fine. At any rate, all the rain also made for slippery slopes but nothing was able to stop the disco and, honestly, I'm surprised at how rarely the TCS had to kick in all things considered. Here's a short video I edited together of me going down a steep slope (HDC works as advertised!), it doesn't look that steep in the video because the camera is pointed level with the ground.
