Default What Is This??

While doing the head gaskets on our 03 I found this on the floor just after I got the heads off. I should have put something in the picture for size reference but you could just slip a pencil thew it. I have hunted around and can not figure it out where it goes.

One other thing it turns out that my leak was not head gaskets it was the small freeze plug in the back of the drivers side head. Is this something that any of you have run into before? The heads are at the machine shop to get it changed and both pressure tested. I should have them back on Monday.

Maybe a ring from the old rocker cover gaskets.

Your wedding ring? This is quite common. Wives can get jealous when you spend all of your time in the garage working on the Disco, then the rest of the time updating to this forum.

It's deff. from the rocker cover gaskets. They come with new ones. The leak on the head freeze plug is not common. I've never seen that. But hey anything can happen with these!

Ok thanks guys, I will check the cover gasket when I get home.

In this case I think my wife would like to go back to the garage and work some more, it is her ride. We have had it for a year I have not even driven it, I am in a wheel chair and it does not have hand controles.

Maybe after I get it back on the road I will have to find a set for it! LOL
