So I thought I would ask the gurus as I can not find this in the Rave manual. When I bought this Disco they were broken off. The one pictured was in the pouch behind the drivers seat. I hadn't given them much thought until this morning when I was underneath her and noticed that there is a hose attached to both of the rods that go inside the little black box that belongs on the bumper. What are these for and are they important or can I just cap the hoses and forget about them? Thanks guys.

 

Those be the Headlight washers. Like the widshield washers. The spray the fluid onto the headlight to wash off mud and such.

I thought about that but I didn't have the wipers on my headlights like some of the DII's I've seen so I thought that couldn't be it. Good to know though. I will just cap off the hoses and not worry about it. Thanks!

 

X2 Headlight washers, they will spray a quick burst when you turn your windshield washers on. You can see the over spray over the front edge of the hood when you wash your windshield.
