Hi Christina

I used this kit, it's a genuine Wabco part but already modified correctly. It's twice the standard part but half the hassle to fit and it works perfectly. I used this one on mine.

It's child's play to fit .................. honest

X1 ........... IMO it's not absolutely necessary to hard wire the sensors as they rarely cause problems as standard plug in's.

So this is a new SVS set modified to include the Option B fix. Very clever. Maybe unnecessary but clever nonetheless.

It looks like its advantage is that it's plug and play, which can be valuable for those uncomfortable cutting wires, soldering and applying heat shrink. It should leave people happier than they would be if they installed standard, new SVSs only to have the Three Amigos remain because the modulator circuit board problem was not addressed.

Thanks Offroad! I may be able to attempt this myself. $100 isn't bad especially if it's plug and play and includes instructions.

It's defo a plug and play kit. The instructions for fitting were included with mine. It takes an hour or two to fit properly and then no-more amigo's come visiting unless the wheel sensors go duff.

PS: everything is included in the kit so nothing to buy provided you have the tools.

X2 when/if my front sensors ever go bad I will be splicing in the OE style connector to make future changes easier.

Pretty sure LR switched to the updated sensor wire because they thought the connectors were the source for the faults. Turns out they were wrong and the connectors are fine, the fault was ****ty sensors.

There are a batch of wheel sensors around that are too long and 'collide' with the reluctor plate but LR would never admit to that

TIP: before fitting a new wheel sensor dimensionally check it with a good vernier gauge first.

I did not know that... interesting.

The sensor I just installed the other day was $18 on ebay and is working well so I will probably go the route in the future. In fact I may just order 4 of them for future use.
