Just an FYI, I have a stock D1 with 235/74 Cooper ATR's. I have 50K on them and have needed an alignment for the past 20K. They have held up great and never left me stuck in 2 good snows and one good ice storm. I would recommend them.

I have also heard the OME HD set-up is choice and can be done relatively easy in your driveway. Anything more and you will have to re-do brake lines and driveline angles...

 

I just had 245/75-16 goodyear wrangler silent armour all terrains installed. The phrase "silent armour" is critical, since there are a lot of goodyear wrangers out there (and lot of them are crappy).

Did a lot of research, and these tires appeared to fit the bill. They are not dedicated snow tires, so they'll do fine for year round weather. They are all terrains, and appears to have decent grip off road. They're quiet riding, and according to the reviews, wear pretty well. But the deal maker for me was that these tires have the RMA severe weather logo, so they're expected to do well in snow.

I just got them, so no first hand experience in snow. But in day to day driving, they're great.

Yep, same tires. I have the white turned in, but still says Discoverer on the outside.
