What is the big deal about Magnacore wires?
I have noticed that a lot of people have the Magnacore wires as up grade to their discovery. I replaced the wires in my 2000 with "high performance" 8mm wires and it runs perfect. Why should I spend $150 on the Magnacore wires when got mine for $45. What is the difference?
The engine compartment with an aluminum engine is extremely hot and will break down cheap spark plug wires causing misfires. The Magnecores are built for high heat and have a lifetime warranty. Most of us paid right around $100 including shipping by buying them at www.apexperformance.net. D1's are easy to install, but if you have a D2, you don't want to do it often.

Cheap wires just wont last.
Before I switched to the Mag's I went through 4 sets of plug wires in 2 years. (30k)
I'm working on something with a company I know well from the Grand Prix community right now (Only reason I haven't changed my wires yet) and for little more than the $100 people seem to be paying for the Magnacore wires, these will be leaps and bounds better than them.
Not bashing the Magnacore wires or saying they're junk or not good enough to be used or anything, they just won't compare to the ones he produces already for the GP people. Really all I need is to get the measurements of all eight wires for the Disco.

They work. They last the longest. They are the best at putting up with the heat in the engine compartment. I put a set on with some +4 plats, could not believe the difference in power and fuel consumption.

Just installed magnecor wires and +4 platinum plugs yesterday and they work great. The job only took about 1.5 hours with my buddy and I working on it. From all the threads I was slightly intimidated by this job, but it wasn't even remotely as bad as described. Easy DIY.
and for the record...the complete step by step process given on this site probably saved us about 2 hours. Thx for the great posts!
