This is a serious post, I don't know what the big difference is between 8mm performance wires and 8mm Magnacor wires. I figured someone knowledgable could help me out with explaining the difference and why everyone uses them. Thats it! I know you know 10X more than I do about Land Rovers and that is why I joined this post, to get help from people who do things themself and have experience in things that I am doing and possibly helping others with some of my knowledge from my past experiences.

 

Some people have had good luck with STI plug wires.
Others with Kingsbourne plug wires.
But we know for a fact that the Mags work so we stick with them.

I will try Mags next time if the ones I put in awhile ago fail me. I had never heard of Magnacor wires before I started this post.

 

For what its worth....

before i bought them i took the information i found on this forum then looked at the company and then read about the technical properties and why they work then i bought them.

7mm for me, i didnt see any significant reason to buy the 8mm. the heat range for the 7mm is more than enough to handle the discos engine compartment. IMHO.
