Default What is this connector?

I just bought a 2004 Discovery 2, it seems the engine and transmission are strong, but it has a nightmare of electrical problems with most lights on in the dash (3 amigos, SRS, brake, Service Engine) and most things not working such as radio, obd2 port, door locks, hazards, cruise control, blower motor, etc). It's a bit overwhelming.

What is this orange connector piece next to the row of black relay switches?

I'd say You have a V8?

That connector has nothing on my V8 either if I remember correctly, but on a TD5 it's connected.

Actually, it's for ACE, nothing to do with V8 or TD5, sorry.
My V8 doesn't have ace but TD5 has...
