Default What connector is this behind the radio?

Sound from my Sony MEX-BT38UW radio has been cutting out to the speakers. I removed the radio to make sure the connections are tight and found this yellow/green/blue LEGO block looking connector sitting way back behind the radio.

Anyone know where this goes to?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Best! I don’t have rear radio controls so I guess that makes sense that it is disconnected.
I guess now I’ll have to see about chasing some wires and connect the stereo controls at the steering wheel to the Sony.

I'm still researching how to connect the steering wheel controls.
I found more information here about the yellow/green/blue connector BKA connector C mini-ISO plug... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connectors_for_car_audio

Following this.

just bought my first LR. 2004 SE. speakers cut out until I turn volume way up. Also wheel controls don’t work due to aftermarket deck, wish they had left it original.

There is a control output ("System enable", see chart above) on the stock stereo turning on the external power amp (under the driver's seat). That is probably not correctly driven by your aftermarket deck.

Some people reported here that they got the wheel controls working with a 'Joying', which have a programmable feature, so it can adapt to the Land Rover controls.

I searched forums and found that most Disco 2 owners used the “Connects 2” brand and model # CTSLR003.2 for use with an aftermarket radio and the stock steering wheel controls. There isn’t much detail or pictures on the forums on how anyone specifically connected it to work but they only stated that it did work with the controls.

So I bought the CTSLR003.2 for my Disco's "Mid Line" stereo set up (not High Line with HK power amp) and it’s totally weird how it’s supposed to be wired up with a 1/8" connector plug for the controls to work.

An old pic of the rear of my Sony stereo with a blue 1/8” connector so that might be the connection point...

Doesn’t help that the instructions are for a Disco 3. Lol

I’ll work it this weekend and report back.

From looking at this, the steering controls are the gray connector C0098 on pins 2 (input power) & 3 (output negative ground).
It should be some easy splicing if the 1/8" plug doesn't work on the back of the Sony radio.

I've haven't any sound cut outs since I checked all the connections were tight.
I did find that I really need to add a ground wire from the back of the radio frame to a good grounding point.
