It does not bypass the ABS system; it restores full ABS, Hill Descent, and Traction Control function.

If your truck has the shuttle valve switch electrical failure fault and you do Option B you do not necessarily need to replace the switches themselves. I did Option B on my truck over 9 years ago and didn't replace the switches and all is well. Just test the switches with a multimeter as described in the instructions linked in the sticky.

And FWIW, it's correct that the fact your truck has that connector lying loose does indicate the right front wheel speed sensor has been replaced with the newer style that is wired directly and bypasses the connector, but the cable for the newer style sensors without connectors runs directly to the SLABS computer behind the glove box, not to the ABS modulator on the driver's side in the engine compartment.
Found the following fault codes
89 - front right sensor (output too low)
134 - shuttle valve switch (electrical failure)

So given the right speed sensor is disconnected I'm not sure what to do first for code 89?

For 134 I'm guessing I need to pull the abs modulator valve switch and replace or would I do option B?

Only one time at a Georgia Pull-A-Part location I saw A Disco 2 with all 4 ABS sensors hard wired directly to the SLABS unit. Don't know why. It's a long shot that yours is the same but you can check the wiring connections at the SLABS unit.
Crawl under the passengers footwell, remove the footwell panels and look up behind the glove compartment (some people just drop the glove compartment downward) to access the SLABS unit and check the wiring at the C0505 9-pin connector. Aw hell... go on and check all the SLABS wiring and connections while up in there.
From the RAVE electrical manual:
"ABS sensors
The SLABS ECU receives inputs from each wheel speed sensor through connector C0505.
The inputs are as follows:
• From Front LH ABS sensor pins C0516-1/2 to SLABS ECU pins C0505-1/2 on G wires
*From Front RH ABS sensor pins C0517-1/2 to SLABS ECU pins C0505-4/5 on G wires
• From Rear LH ABS sensor pins C0502-1/2 to SLABS ECU pins C0505-7/8 on W wires
• From Rear RH ABS sensor pins C0503-1/2 to SLABS ECU pins C0505-3/6 on W wires."

As for the 3 Amigos, buy a new ABS shuttle valve for $30-$40 and then do the Option B mod on the new valve. It's easy to complete.

You should be able to trace the connector line from the RF hub to wherever it goes, to work out whether it has been wired all the way back to the SLABS unit or not.

Will definitely check the entire wiring and thanks for the step-by-step, looks pretty straightforward.

In the very first pic I can see the new ABS sensor wire (black with white writing on it). Then in another pic I see it going thru the rubber boot into the cabin. To verify all you have to do is lower the black kick panel below the HVAC blower. then look up at the SLABS unit. You will most certainly see that same black wire with writing on it spliced into the connectors going into the SLABS Unit. With the Shuttle Valve switch fault I'd perform Option B, and inspect the shuttle valve wiring if it's all cracked. A new Shuttle Valve switch assembly can normally be found for 50.00. Then slap on Option B repair that should solve that issue for good. Sensor wise you could check the sensor itself. Some people have reported issues with some aftermarket sensors and it could have contacted the reluctor ring. To gain access to that sensor you need to remove the rotor.

Right wheel speed sensor cable coming thru the firewall.

Wires into the slabs

Pulled the tire and traced the sensor back to the slabs under the driver side dash. So I guess I need to replace this since I'm getting the error code.

Do I need to pull the hub off to replace the sensor?

Maybe I tried to read too fast and missed something, but what ABS codes does your truck have, please? Don't bee too hasty replacing the sensor.

Found the following fault codes
89 - front right sensor (output too low)
134 - shuttle valve switch (electrical failure)

Not sure how to tackle error code 89.
