was a slow summer but we’re making up for it this fall, still a few lingering maintenance items to wrap up on the white one and classic but they are close

YETIX, how do you know they didn’t break anything and just glue it back together?

I was watching them since they were right outside my office window. The driver's side one was brand new too. I honestly expected them to break something and was very surprised he didn't. I asked him about it and he said he's done several Discos

First question I'll ask this morning when he shows up. He'll find me very helpful if he says he's never seen one before.

Default Headlight upgrade - HID retrofit

Finally finished my HID retrofit using mini D2S projectors for theretrofitsource.com

Old setup - Auxbeam LED bulbs with original headlight halogen reflector. Patchy, weak, no spread, etc

New setup - RetrofitSource mini D2S HID Projector with 4300k bulbs, Low beam

High beam - Bixenon HID mini D2S projectors and Auxbeam LED high beam bulb

Low beam

High beam

Much needed lighting improvement, can actually see where I'm going now (I'm old, lol)

Low beam - I crafted them to have a bit of back glow thru the reflector, so they'd still look OE from a distance, and not have just the lil lens glowing in the middle. I looked into, and tried out multiple halo's and whatnot, but they all looked cheap and dim, just not up to my standards. So, this is what I came up with to look OE, but function like they were made in the modern era.

High beam - I used a 4300k D2S low beam bulb, and a 6000k LED high beam bulb to differentiate the colors when I flash my high beams so folks see a difference when they flash their highs at me. I may go with the higher Kelvin low beam bulb next time, but I'm liking the color differences for now.
